Hawthorn Football Club Museum

Lilford Smith recently completed the design and construction of the Hawthorn Football Club Museum, tracing the history of the Club, its players and their achievements.

Introduced by an audio of the inspiring coach’s speech to the players in the 1975 Grand Final, the display leads the visitor to an extensive collection of change room artefacts to provide a starting point for the many player tributes. The Museum incorporates player and supporter memorabilia contextualised with clear and dynamic graphics.

The design allows for the continual updating of the team photos, Best and Fairest recipients and Hall of Fame inductees. The diverse and extensive range of trophies and awards takes pride of place in the displays.
